Morning on Country
December 10 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
This training is part of our Capability Suite funded through the Health and Community Services Directorate. Training is only available to employees working in non-government organisations providing mental health programs or supports in the ACT or who are intending to apply to provide supports in the ACT.
This opportunity is now open to staff at all levels.
Following positive feedback from participants and fulfilling our promise to invest in wellbeing and cultural awareness, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to join MHCC to spend a Morning on Country with Ngunnawal and Gamilaroi Traditional Owner Richie Allan
Bringing together people across the sector to sit on Country, listen, learn, Richie will guide us through culture, history, reflection and mindfulness (dadirri), ancient practices inherent to wellness of First Nations people.
You will be asked to reflect on ways to prioritise First Nations perspectives & lived experience, and explore ways of implementing everyday culturally safe and trauma informed practices.
Morning tea will be provided. We will meet at Mulligans Flat Carpark and carpool into the area.
Please complete your RSVP at the Eventbrite link below. There are 15 tickets available per session.
