Our aim is to foster the capacity of community mental health services to support people
with lived experience to live a meaningful and dignified life.
This aim is supported by our work in 4 key areas
Supporting strong services
We support our members to deliver quality, inclusive, recovery-oriented services to improve the holistic wellbeing of people in the ACT by fostering collaborative partnerships, advocating for sustainable funding models, and promoting the value of outcomes delivered by community managed mental health services.
Learning & development
Our training workshops, events and conferences provide opportunities for learning and professional development to help build a strong workforce for the sector. We also provide training grants to assist our members with financing further study and training initiatives.
Policy & Advocacy
MHCC ACT represents a trusted and influential voice to Government on mental health policy and strategic reform. We advocate for the interests of community managed mental health service providers by responding to emerging issues, government reviews and inquiries to address structural challenges that are important to our members.
Valuing lived experience
Our goal to ensure lived experience is at the heart of service delivery is supported by a commitment to engage consumers and carers in all areas of our work. We support our members to do the same by encouraging co-design or partnership approaches in all areas of service development and implementation.
