Notice of 2023 Annual General Meeting
The Mental Health Community Coalition of the ACT hereby gives notice of and invites you to attend our 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

When: Tuesday 28 November from 4.00pm – 5pm
Where: KPMG Boardroom 1 Constitution Avenue, Canberra
In accordance with the Rules of Association the appointment of board members will take place at the AGM. The following positions will be filled for a two year term at the 2023 AGM:
- Full Member Ordinary Directors
- 1 x Lived Experience Director
Nominating for the Board:
Please write a short response to our questions regarding your skills and experience. This statement will be circulated to voting representatives. You can find a link to the form at the bottom of this letter.
Nominations may be reviewed by a committee of the MHCC ACT Board and the Committee may note nominees who are assessed to strongly meet the desired skills criteria as endorsed candidates.
Nominating as a Lived Experience Director:
There are two dedicated Lived Experience Director positions on the Board – one position for a person with lived experience as a consumer and one position for a person with lived experience as a carer. Any person with lived experience who either resides in or accesses services in ACT can nominate.
People who wish to nominate for a position as a Lived Experience Director must either be an Associate Member of MHCC ACT or apply for Associate Membership. People can either nominate themselves or be nominated by another Associate Member.
People wishing to nominate for a Lived Experience Director position should complete the Lived Experience Director nomination form. Nominations must be seconded by a Full Member representative (MHCC ACT staff can help with this). You can find a link to the form at the bottom of this letter.
Nominations for Board Member positions must be received at the MHCC ACT office by 5pm Tuesday 21 November 2023. If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies, there will be an opportunity to nominate from the floor.
Nominating a voting representative:
To vote at the MHCC ACT AGM, please ensure your membership of MHCC ACT is current and paid, and complete and return the Organisation Appointment of Representative form as soon as practical prior to the AGM. See below for a link to that form.
Voting will take place at the AGM.
