Motivational Interviewing Workshop

This workshop is for mental health service providers to develop skills and knowledge to support others to make changes that can lead to a more full and meaningful life.

Motivational Interviewing is a person-centred technique that effectively addresses the resistance or fear that can act as a barrier to change. Participants will gain confidence using a clear process to guide conversations about choice and control, and learn skills to support vulnerable people to build confidence and achieve their goals.

This interactive course uses group discussions and role play to build motivational interviewing techniques into everyday work.

Skills learned are particularly relevant in the new NDIS environment.
